There was fine weather and a great turnout at the Kent Miners Festival, this year held near to the village of Betteshanger.

In 1917, the movement set up the Co-operative Party to represent and defend itself, and to promote our values in the wider economy and society.
The Kent Co-op Party is holding its Annual General meeting on 11 March in Sittingbourne. All Kent members having been invited are are welcome to attend.
The Co-op Party celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. There will be many events across Kent in 2017 to mark this.

The Dover, Deal and Thanet Co-op Party branch held a Strawberry Tea on Saturday 23 July.
The event was held at the Milldale Hall in Deal and raised over £100 for branch funds.

On Saturday 9 July the Kent Co-op Party had a stall at a Dover CLP conference to look at local government reorganisation.
The event, jointly organised by the Dover District Labour Group, was held at the Council Offices, Whitfield in Dover and was attended by councillors from across Kent.
The Kent Party held its AGM today in Sittingbourne with Matt Partridge elected as our new Secretary.
